I hope you had a festive 4th.

I’ve heard some Patriots lament that Independence Day has lost it’s luster for them because of the pilferage of liberty from all corners principally government and corporate America including Big Eva churches.

We’re told what light bulbs and toilets to use; are subjected to 4th Amendment violations from speed cameras, EZ Pass and other Big Brother NSA surveillance; are denied 14th Amendment privileges and immunities (original constitution is still supreme) which are inviolate from businesses that are open to the public while denying citizens these protections; subjected to unconstitutional taxation to fund the military industrial complex, wind farm subsidies, abortion and hundreds of other unlawful enterprises.

The intent of listing a few offenses isn’t to inflame already raw irritation but to help us see two things.

There’s no end to the subjugation and the only remedy is to use the Constitution to resist and reverse the tyranny.

To continue the Independence Day celebration for an extra week here’s a reminder from The Declaration of Independence that politicians have no power without permission from the governed.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed.

Although we look last week off from calls there’s a lot of encouraging news about petition energy in NY, NC, IA, VA and MO. If we watch the news (which I try to avoid) we’d think it’s all over for America.

1A petitions are a gift from God who used the Framers and the Constitution as our gateway back to Liberty. Patriots are starting to see the possibilities of holding county politicians accountable.

Petitions are our non-violent version of David’s smooth stones that he used to slay Goliath. The government rules every area of our lives. We will beat back our Goliath which is runaway government once we lay aside personal agendas and recognize if we work together constitutional truth will empower and prevail.

For the sake of our progeny, neighbors and communities let’s be doers not just hearers. James 1:22

Movie Moment

THE PATRIOT- It’s 1776 in colonial South Carolina. Benjamin Martin (Mel Gibson), a French-Indian war hero who is haunted by his past, now wants nothing more than to live peacefully on his small plantation, and wants no part of a war with the most powerful nation in the world, Great Britain. Meanwhile, his two eldest sons, Gabriel and Thomas, can’t wait to enlist in the newly formed “Continental Army.” When South Carolina decides to join the rebellion against England, Gabriel immediately signs up to fight…without his father’s permission. But when Colonel William Tavington, British dragoon, infamous for his brutal tactics, comes and burns the Martin Plantation to the ground, tragedy strikes. Benjamin quickly finds himself torn between protecting his family, and seeking revenge along with being a part of the birth of a new, young, and ambitious nation. The following scene shows Benjamin in a dual of words with General Cornwallis which includes Cornwallis petitioning Martin for his ‘aggrieved status” over the loss of his possessions. Here’s the June 11th podcast discussing the back and forth at the Massachusetts ratification debates.

Unlike the Federalist Papers which were newspaper articles with no legal ramifications the ratification debates are the recorded proof texts for what the state delegates debated before taking an oath to defend. Let’s begin holding our public servants accountable at the county, state and federal level. It all starts with the Counties! HERE
