As we approach the singular American holiday of Thanksgiving which was established by George Washington in 1789, it’s a good time to reflect on what God has done for us personally and corporately.
We live in a country with a republican form of government which is unheard of in the annals of human history.
Only in America do the people decide what the politicians can and cannot do based on the constitution.
We celebrate this truly amazing gift.
We have the power to take back our liberty once we overcome the ravages of fear, apathy and sloth.
Here’s a portion of Washington’s decree which is stirring . . .

First Amendment Petitions
The remedy the framers gave us through the Constitution is interposition using First Amendment petitions and Republic Review. ReclaimingtheRepublic.org has a repository of petitions which they’ve graciously shared with Loudoun Liberty.
They’re viewable online, and can be downloaded as a pdf and customized for your county.
Our calls are scheduled for Wednesday at 11 and Friday at 6:30 EST. God willing reminders go out the day before.

Movie Moment
WITNESS – Mid 80’s classic with riveting screenplay and performances tells the story of young Amish widow Rachel Lapp (Kelly McGinnis) taking her young son Samuel to Philadelphia for the first time.
While in a washroom at the train station, Samuel sees two men savagely murder a third. The detective assigned to the homicide case is Det. John Book (Harrison Ford) who informs them that the murdered man was a police officer.
It isn’t long before the young boy fingers Philadelphia narcotics officer McFee (Danny Glover) as the murderer. Book soon discovers that McFee was involved in the theft of something called P2P, an ingredient used in the making of methamphetamine. Shortly after Book tells his boss this information, McFee comes after Book and wounds him in a shootout. Book determines that the best way to avoid detection is to blend in with the Amish community, which he does, working with them on their farms and helping with building a new barn.
But the corrupt cops Book has exposed are determined to keep their dirty work a secret, and they come looking for Book & Samuel to silence them for good….
In this scene Book has joined an Amish family and joins the community to build a family’s barn. What’s so moving is how everyone joins together for the purpose of serving others. All squabbles were laid down for the greater good. Book and Daniel we’re vying for Rachel’s attention, it didn’t matter. HERE
