Day 22 Massachusetts

Massachusetts was the sixth state to ratify the U.S. Constitution, doing so on February 6, 1788 doing so at the church called the Long Lane Meeting House. Two men signed the constitution from the state; Rufus King (Day 10) and Nathaniek Gorham. Elbridge Gerry and Caleb Strong did not sign the document because it did not have a Bill of Rights at that time. The Bill of Rights were added at a later date.
